Cross County Cartage, and entity of Harvey D. Bailey, Inc. began operations in 1984. A career in transportations was started for Harvey in 1969 as a part-time employee In the industry while attending Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi.

He subsequently worked in many different capacities for various trucklines, some of which fell to the wayside due to deregulation in the 1980’s.  And as deregulation was the demise of some, it opened the door for others.

The employment base of Cross County Cartage, at times, has supported over 40 families. We utilize 53’ air-ride dry vans and refrigerated units, with single drivers as well as sleeper teams.

One of the most important growth factors of Cross County Cartage was the construction of its own facility in 1995.   The building is 35,000 square feet located on 9 acres.  We are equipped with a security alarm system, monitored 24 hours a day, a 6’ fence topped with razor wire and 24 hour camera surveillance inside and outside.

Cross County Cartage provides truckload and LTL service throughout all 48 continental states with either its own equipment, or use of its freight brokerage.

We are a fully licensed hazardous material carrier.  The U.S. DOT rating has always been “satisfactory”.  The company carries liability coverage of $1,000,000. and cargo insurance of $100,000.
